Coal Ministry is making all efforts to Locate missing Coal Blocks Allocation Documents

The Union Coal Minister, Shri Sriprakash Jaiswal has said that the Government will make every effort to locate and supply the additional documents required by CBI regarding allocation of coal blocks.
Coal Ministry has already handed over 769 files and other documents consisting of more than 1, 50,000 pages to CBI. This was stated by Coal Minister while making a statement in Rajya Sabha on 21-08-2013. He said that an Inter Ministerial Committee headed by Additional Secretary, Coal has been constituted to locate the documents which are not readily available in the Ministry.

The passage of  National Food Security Bill in the Lok Sabha failed as proceedings of both the Houses of Parliament were disrupted repeatedly over the issue of missing files in coal blocks allocation. The  opposition sought explanation from the Prime Minister in this issue.
