Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna and Arjuna Awards

 The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports on 22 August 2013 announced the National Sports Awards-2013 for the following personalities.


Apart from a medal and a citation, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Awardee will receive a cash prize of Rs.7.5 lakh. The Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna (RGKR) is India’s highest honour given for achievement in sports.

 Arjuna, Dronacharya and Dhyan Chand Awardees will receive statuettes, citations and cash prize of Rs.5 lakh each.  Recipients of Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar will be given Trophies. 

The awardees will receive their awards from the President of India at a specially organized function at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on August 31, 2013.
