First legal abortion in Ireland

Under the new bill, Ireland performed its first life saving abortion. 

Last year,  Savita Halappanavar, died died after being refused an abortion at an Irish hospital. The incident became an eye opener for the government and passed the new law to legalize life saving abortion.
